Nasarawa

Map Nasarawa

Nasarawa State is largely agrarian with the majority of people engaged in farming and petty trading. The State is structured into 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs). According to the 1991 Nigerian census, the population of Nasarawa State was 1.2 million. However, with a nationally accepted growth rate of 2.83% coupled with the influx of people into the southern part of the State due to its proximity to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, Nasarawa now has an estimated population of 2.5 million people.
