KEY CENTRAL-LEVEL POSITIONS

Uche Ekenna - Chief of Party 
Uche is responsible for the overall implementation of the project, working in close collaboration and coordination with USAID, the governement of Nigeria, and international agencies.  As Head of the COMPASS Management Team, he oversees prioritization and coordination of activities, is in charge of overall program performance, and ensures full compliance with USAID requirements and regulations.

Bola Kusemiju - Deputy Chief of Party
Bola assists the Chief of Party in supervising the overall operation of the project, providing support for project administration and overall program implementation.  In addition to assisting the Chief of Party with overall program management, he facilitates the workplan development process by working with the Project teams and partner organizations to clearly define and meet the Project’s strategic objectives.

Director of Operations - Rita Badiani
Rita works closely with the Chief of Party and the Deputy Chief of Party for results-oriented management of the COMPASS Project. In this capacity she supports the State Team Leaders in activities and issues related to overall functioning of the State offices and programs. Her duties include supervision of all aspects of program management, including planning, implementation, administration, and monitoring, and active participation in program development and evaluation, including subprojects.  She also serves as liaison between Program and the Finance and Administration units in COMPASS to ensure appropriate coordination of activities, and effective budgeting and tracking of project expenditures, both in the States and at central level.

Ikenna Ndubude - Director of Finance and Administration
Ikenna is responsible for administering the program in full compliance with all applicable USAID regulations.  He ensures the application of sound financial management procedures by Pathfinder and all subrecipients, including cooperating organizations, contractors, and NGO sub-grantees. He oversees the finance group.

Chinelo Ezeobi - Policy and Advocacy Advisor
Chinelo has primary oversight for the prioritization, design, and implementation of all COMPASS activities related to strengthening the enabling environment for the social sector. Shee supports state and local partners in interpreting and translating national policies and plans into practical implementation strategies and plans, and assists them in developing guidelines and procedures for adoption at the local level.

JKT Ajiboye - Senior Community Mobilization/Communications Advisor
JKT provides overall technical direction for the implementation of the community mobilization, demand generation, and related communication interventions at the national and state levels. He provides technical assistance and support for the community action cycle process, media programming, and materials development.

Ayo Oladini - Senior Education Advisor
Ayo serves as the focal person at the national level for coordination of all Project educational activities, including primary education, teacher training, Parent-Teachers’ Association development, and sensitization of community members, stakeholders, and government officials. He ensures that the Project’s education activities are integrated, to the extent possible, with the Project’s health activities. 

Mizan Siddiqi - Senior Child Survival/Immunization Advisor
Mizan works closely with the State Child Survival Program Coordinators in Kano, Nasarawa, and Lagos, providing technical leadership for activities, including immunization, malaria prevention and treatment, nutrition, and neonatal care.

Fatima Bunza - Senior Reproductive Health/Family Planning Advisor
Fatima provides technical leadership and guidance for the development, implementation, and monitoring of RH/FP service delivery strategies and activities. She has overall responsibility for ensuring that Project activities are in line with USAID strategic priorities in RH/FP service delivery.  

Ibidun Adeniyi - Institutional Capacity Building/Public Private Partnership Advisor
Ibidun has overall responsibility for guiding Project ICB and PPP activities. She helps to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate state and local ICB activities, resulting in increased effectiveness of the public institutions, NGOs, and community-based organizations involved in the Project.

Daisi Feyisetan - Director of Monitoring and Evaluation
Daisi is responsible for overall monitoring and evaluation of the Project. He oversees building the capacity among participating communities and facilities through technical assistance with monitoring and evaluation. Specifically, he develops, implements, and continuously monitors the sub-grants and Project-level performance monitoring plans and systems for gathering, reporting, and analyzing performance data.

Beatrice Nwanokwu - Human Resources Manager
Funmi is responsible for ensuring that the Project functions efficiently in all administrative matters and human resources matters.

KEY STATE-LEVEL POSITIONS

State Team Leaders:
Bisi Tugbobo - Lagos
Rabia Eshak - Kano
Habila Alaku - Nasarawa
Juliana Nathaniel - Bauchi

The State Team Leaders guide the Project at the state level. Essentially serving as a “state-level Chief of Party,” They promote, articulate, and ensure a common program vision and strategy among the partners and local organizations in their respective state. They are responsible for ensuring the coordination and implementation of integrated education, health, and community mobilization activities at the state level, including development of integrated work plans, liaisons with USAID and government bodies within the state, and coordination with other stakeholders.  While they serve as the focal point for Project management at the state level, they are also responsible for the day-to-day management of the Project’s state office.

State Program Managers:
Garba Babale - Kano

The State Program Managers lead an integrated team of State Program Coordinators, who, together with Field Officers, work with communities to implement Project activities. They facilitate the development and implementation of community action plans in a participatory manner; ensure collaboration within communities, identifying potential local implementing organizations and groups; determine technical assistance needs that can be met by the Project state level technical resources team, local organizations and consultants, or international consultants; and monitor program progress. 

State Managers of Technical Resources:
John Dada- Lagos

The State Managers of Technical Resources have overall responsibility for coordinating technical inputs to the Project within the state. They work closely with the State Team Leaders and State Program Managers to ensure that appropriate technical assistance from Project staff and external consultants is provided to Project Local Government Areas and communities. With the other Senior State Managers, they ensure the development of integrated workplans, including appropriate technical support for activities at the community level.

State Education Specialists
Lawal Nurudeen - Lagos
Nafisa Ado - Kano
The Education Specialists are responsible for managing a team of people with specific responsibilities in the areas of community mobilization, teacher training, materials development, Monitoring and Evaluation, and logistics management.  They supervise the education project-related activities of the Islamiyyah and the Community Participation/PTA Training Specialists.

State Finance and Administration Managers:
Isaac Atanda - Lagos
Nura Musa Dakata - Kano
Ishaku Musa - Bauchi

The State Finance and Administration Managers are responsible for administering the program in full compliance with all applicable USAID regulations. They ensure the application of sound financial management procedures by Pathfinder and all sub-recipients relative to state activities, including cooperating organizations, contractors, NGOs, and community-based organizations.

Community Mobilization Program Coordinators:

The State Community Mobilization Program Coordinators support local NGOs and other community and faith-based organizations to develop their capacity to mobilize communities and advocate for change. As key members of an integrated team, they ensure that participatory community action plans are developed and implemented. They collaborate with intermediary NGOs and community coalitions to identify health and education needs at the local level and assist in developing plans for community mobilization activities.

State Reproductive Health/Family Planning Program Coordinators:

Fatima Inuwa - Kano
Elisha Musa Mazadu - Bauchi

The RH/FP Program Coordinators serve as members of each state’s integrated program team. Primarily focusing on implementation, they provide technical inputs in the development, implementation, and monitoring of RH/FP service delivery strategies and activities. Under the direction of the State Program Manager, and working very closely with the State Technical Resources Team and Grants Manger, they ensure that Project activities are in line with the Project’s strategic priorities in the delivery of RH/FP services. They provide technical guidance and support to NGOs and local implementing partners in curricula adaptation, training, quality assurance, supervision, needs assessments, and other technical areas related to service delivery. 

State Education Program Coordinators:
Jumoke Kupoluyi - Lagos
Jibrin Ogaji - Nasarawa
Ladidi Sani Fagge - Kano

In each state the education component of the Project is managed primarily by the State Education Program Coordinators. They are involved in activities related to primary education, teacher training, PTA development, non-formal education, and sensitization of community members, stakeholders, and government officials. They ensure that education and health activities are planned and implemented, to the extent possible, in an integrated way.  They develop and manage workplans for all project education activities in the state, including needs assessments, project planning, development of timelines, and M&E activities; coordinate all education-related project activities at the state level; manage the procurement and distribution of school materials and supplies to project schools; oversee the design and implementation of PTA and NGO sub-grant programs; and coordinate the state-level implementing partners, government, and NGO partners and stakeholders in planning and implementing education activities.

State Child Survival/ Malaria Program Coordinators:
Joseph Monehin - Lagos
Blessing Anyuabaga - Nasarawa
Nasiru Ilallah - Kano

As members of the integrated program team, the Child Survival/Malaria Program Coordinators have overall responsibility for all CS activities in the state. They provide technical assistance to government and community officials and leaders to develop plans, set targets, and design and implement CS interventions. They collaborate with partners to build their capacities to address child health issues; participate in planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating CS trainings for health providers in the public and private sectors; and participate in monitoring the implementation of immunization days.

State Monitoring & Evaluation Officers:

Rufai Yaya Ibrahim - Bauchi

The State M&E Officers are responsible for strengthening M&E capacity in participating communities and facilities through technical assistance. They work closely with colleagues at the state level to ensure that performance monitoring plans capture adequately the scope and content of the Project goals and objectives. They implement M&E plans within the state; monitor state-level performance monitoring plans; and make recommendations for corrective action plans based on M&E findings.
