Where We Work
COMPASS is committed to a results-oriented, decentralized approach to project implementation that allows close collaboration with state and local government authorities in both health and education sectors.
In keeping with the decentralized approach, COMPASS has established offices in Lagos, Kano, Nasarawa, and Bauchi states as well as in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The State Teams are responsible for Project implementation, with support and guidance from a central coordinating office in Abuja. In each state, Field Officers are stationed within Local Government Areas (LGAs) the Nigerian equivalent of districts - to facilitate and monitor project activities at the community level.
In addition to its work in health and education, COMPASS supports polio eradication efforts in these five states, plus an additional six: Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
The COMPASS approach is state specific and works with LGAs to provide the supplies and services needed for the delivery of quality health care and education in communities.
