The Community Participation for Action in the Social Sector Project (COMPASS) is one of the largest integrated health and education projects in Africa.
Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), COMPASS aims to reach approximately 23 million Nigerians in 51 Local Government Areas through community-led health and education initiatives in five states with polio-eradication activities in an additional six states.
COMPASS lays the foundation for sustainable improvements in reproductive health /family planning, child survival, and basic education.
The project operates under the belief that achieving this long-term success is dependent upon giving Nigerians ownership of the programs and initiatives that directly affect their health and well-being. |
